I can’t believe a week has passed since Chicon began. <\/p>\n

It was a good con. I’m calling it my TARDIS con–not the one I thought I wanted, but the one I needed.<\/p>\n

My agent and I were both a bit shocked to realize that we hadn’t seen one another in person since WFC-Madison in 2005. <\/p>\n

I attended Elizabeth Moon’s reading, the SFWA business meeting, the Hugos, a few parties. Hit the Big Bar, the Art Show and the Dealers Room, bought some small pictures that will catch up with me eventually, an evil eye bracelet, an astrological necklace, and some space music CDs. Shopped on Michigan Avenue–Vosges Chocolatiers, Williams-Sonoma, Sephora, J Jill. The essentials.<\/p>\n

Enjoyed the city. The weather Friday was hot and humid, but sunny and bright. <\/p>\n

Friday night, Random House threw a boat party. We started out on the river, then went out on the lake for a while.<\/p>\n
