It was great to meet you too, John. I do wish I had been able to stay for the whole con.

I think it took a good 15-20 minutes for me to scrape the ice from my windows. I had a scraper, but the ice was thick and since it had partially melted, then refroze, it was like a second layer of glass. My Forester is older, but it does have all the window defrost attachments. Even so, it was so cold that they took a while to get going.

Hey Kristine,

It was great to meet you at Capricon! You were a delightful dinner companion, and I only wish we could have talked longer afterwards.

And I know what you mean about the weather... the temperature had plummeted by the time I made it to my car. I forgot to bring gloves, and in the time it took to scrape clear a tiny window on my windshield (using a credit card) my hands were in agony. I shivered for 20 minutes until the tiny heater in my rental car discovered a way to deliver some heat. Hope your trip home was less of a trial!

Wait until they can do it with organs seeded with the patient's own cells. No more transplant rejection.

I don't think I was ever a single digit size. I'm more Marilyn Monroe than Uma Thurman.

Well, my pants are a lot looser--I didn't get bigger anywhere. But I do have Hip Bones. There are no single-digit sizes in my future.

You probably replaced fat with muscle in your legs/glutes, but not in your upper torso if you are doing treadmill. So, makes sense that your pants still fit.

It's Mother Natures whimsey, if you stay home, the snow will pass us by. Be careful, I used to think I'd passed into another dimension whenever I went over the border from Illinois to Indiana. I have visions of Indiana Troopers shooting monster
snow snakes coming over the dunes onto the tollway to attack stranded vehicles...
Maybe that was too much LDS in the sixties...
